KAYAK : A kayak has a bow and stern and a cockpit inside
which the kayaker sits with his legs stretched out infront of
him. Kayaks come in various designs and sizes to according to
their role in the river (Expedition, Play boating, Learning).
PADDLE : A paddle is a long stick which you hold with both
hand and has a spoon like blade on either side for propelling
the kayak.
LIFE JACKET : Also called PFD (Personal Flotation Device).
Has bouancy and keeps the kayaker floating while swimming in the
river. They have adjustable straps to achieve a snug fit.
SPRAY DECK (AKA skirt) : A spray deck is a water proof
skirt like piece of equipment warn around the waist and it seals
the kayak making sure that water can get in. It has a small loop
attached to the front of the kayak, on pulling this loop, a kayker
can free himself from the kayak when he does not know how to roll.
DRY BAG : A simply constructed waterproof material bag
with a foldable top to keep the water out and to keep the things
stored inside - dry.
WET SUIT : A neoprene phome suit that keeps the body warm
through insulation even when wet.
DRY SUIT : A flexible plastic suit that keeps the water
out.
